Still Dancing with Daddy

When Ellie was 8 or 9 months old, Jeremy began dancing a Special Dance with her to a Special Song: "Dancing with Daddy." She loved it, and would giggle and squeal with delight. Well, now at 23 months, Daddy and Ellie still dance this Special Dance together. She asks for it every single day (and sometimes about a billion times per day!). I love watching them do this little ritual!

Miss Sing-A-Lot...and we DO mean sings a lot!

Probably Ellie favorite thing to do is sing. She is constantly singing this or that. Below is her latest rendition of "The Wheels on the Bus." She actually requests this song every night for her lullaby (!). In the beginning of this clip she is in the middle of our modified-lullaby version that goes, "The Wheels on the Bus say 'Good night, Ellie'..."

My personal choice as highlights in this clip:
  • Toward the end, after she skips over a bunch of pages/verses, she belts out, "SINGIN' WHEELS ON THE BUS!"
  • The grand finale high note at the end.

Enjoy!

Day at Settlers Park

We have a pretty cool park near us called Settlers Park. Actually, it should be called a "park-extravaganza" as it has four playground structures, swings for every shape and size, a musical instrument park with different drums, marimbas, bells, etc., and last but not least, a water park area with fountains of water that shoot up from the ground, and buckets of water that pour down.

Here are some pics of Ellie at Settlers, enjoying the water on a hot day:

HAPPY EASTER!

I know. It has been almost 5 months since this blog has seen any action. Our sincere apologies for the horrendous up-keep. If we have any readers/Ellie-fans still left, here are pics from our lovely Easter day:

We began our day worshipping the Risen Son, Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and raised us to a new life by His blood and His Father's grace. Our new church home in Boise, Idaho -- The Well -- held a semi-sunrise service on top of Table Rock, which overlooks the entire Valley. It was a beautiful morning with a beautiful view.

(We thought it wise to not bring our lightening-quick and extremely active girl up on top of a cliff.)

Elinore in her Easter duds.

The two beautiful girls: Maddie and Ellie.

Our attempt at an Easter family pic: Ellie has already lost interest, I am trying to tell Dad how to use the camera, and Jeremy is the only one cooperating.
